Welcome! I'm a teaching assistant and researcher at CMU Africa, working at the intersection of computer vision, medical imaging, and machine learning. I split my time between coursework, applied research, and building an early-stage startup.

I work with the Marconi Lab on machine learning for portable ultrasound diagnostics.

The main motivation behind my work is bringing useful health technology to low-resource clinical settings. When not researching, I enjoy following machine learning competitions and mentoring students in the Africa Innovators Society.

Machine learning for healthcare, in low-resource settings

Good research and good tools are only useful if they reach the people who need them. I try to keep that in mind whether I am teaching, publishing, or building. I've worked in applied research and industry roles spanning healthcare, oil field engineering, and insurance risk, and this site collects some of that work, along with reference notes and short updates on what I am currently doing.
